Septic Inspections

Our DEQ certified team can provide a comprehensive eight page inspection report for your entire Septic System. These reports are most commonly used in real estate transactions! The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality recommends having your septic system evaluated by a professional if you’re buying or selling a home.

What you need to know about septic inspections?

Septic system evaluations are voluntary. However, if you do have an evaluation, you must use the approved form. Inspections include an eight page DEQ Inspection report with information in regards to both tank condition and functionality. These are most often done during real estate transactions and can be done for agents, homebuyers, and home sellers. Pumping is commonly performed at the time of service in order to provide a thorough inspection and accurately fill out the report.

Who can provide septic inspections?

DEQ requires evaluators to be one of the following: An installer, maintenance provider, wastewater specialist, environmental health specialist and National Association of Wastewater Technicians (NAWT) certified inspector with experience inspecting existing septic systems.
